San Francisco-based video artist Phil Patiris transforms network news footage, clips from Star Trek, and sports coverage (all used without permission) into a devastating critique of the media/industrial complex. Though Patiris did not encounter any legal problems with this piece, he was later served a cease and desist notice from CBS News for similar satirial commentary on his website, moderntv.com.
